Mariana Yousif

I have been a translator and interpreter for 16 years and have spent the last 20 years in the UK.  My origins and culture are Egyptian and I still have strong links to the cultural and intellectual hub and second-largest economy in the Middle East.

I’m a native Arabic speaker, trained in Modern Standard Arabic, the standardised formal variety of the language used throughout the Arab world.

Well versed in contemporary Arab culture, after two decades in the UK I am also a fluent English speaker and thoroughly familiar with life in the UK.

My background includes working in the corporate and financial worlds, with experience as a trainer, business continuity analyst and continuous process improvement (CPI) analyst.

I am committed to the pursuit of Continuous Professional Development and am a member of the UK Chartered Institute of Linguists.

Membership of this key professional body guarantees my clients extra peace of mind:  you know you are dealing with a professional who meets the demanding national standards.

I am also on the National Register of Public Service Interpreters and thus qualified to interpret in court.

As a colleague you will find me friendly, efficient, reliable and approachable from the moment we make contact until the final delivery of your project.  I work rapidly but with great care and have never missed a deadline.

I am thoroughly committed to quality in my business and client relationships and can guarantee you outstanding results if we work together.

I am a lifelong language learner, passionate about the written and spoken word and the Arabic language from a young age and dedicated to harnessing that passion in my professional pursuits.

  • Mariana is our most trusted Arabic translator. She is a gifted translator and, as importantly, helpful, friendly and a true professional. I’d recommend her services to anyone requiring Arabic translation.
